Rihanna 3rd for Rolling stones Queen Of Pop
Lady GaGa has been proclaimed the Queen of Pop by Rolling Stone magazine. The magazine ranked 16 female artists who had released solo albums between 2009 and 2011 by various categories.
These included album and digital song sales, Billboard Hot 100 rankings, radio airplay, views on YouTube, social media, revenue from live shows, award wins and reviews from critics.
GaGa scored 1,205 points in the overall Master Ranking, beating Taylor Swift into second place with 881.Rihanna came third with 833 points, Britney Spears fourth with 674 and Beyoncé fifth with 668. “No matter how we cut the numbers, GaGa was bound to crush the competition,” the magazine said.
“Our goal here was to crown the current tiara-wearer. The hard-working, culture-dominating GaGa more than earned the title. “Maybe a year from now, after [Beyoncé's new album] 4 has spun off a year of radio, digital and video hits, Lady G and Honey B will be more evenly matched, tugging on either end of the Queen of Pop sceptre like the demigods they are.”

RIHANNA, JLS COLLABORATION
JLS star Ortise Williams has admitted that the boyband have been "in talks" with Rihanna to discuss the possibility of a collaboration.
Williams told BANG Showbiz that himself and the rest of The X Factor group are hoping to work with RiRi, revealing that when he met the Barbadian star, he tried to ask her out.
Ortise explained: "We are in talks to collaborate with Rihanna. Let's see what happens there. We hope so. I tried to chat her up."
"It was going well and then there were a few other guys on the prowl and I said, 'You know what, I'll step out because there's others.' I can't say who."
He added: "But she's popular, very popular when she comes to England."

RIHANNA DIRECTOR TALKS UPCOMING ‘MAN DOWN’ VIDEO
Rihanna has teamed up once again with director Anthony Mandler for the singer’s forthcoming “Man Down” video. Having just released their sun-drenched, dreamy clip for “California King Bed,” the duo will shift gears for this video.
“We’ve done 16 videos together; they’re not all tough,” Mandler said when asked about what fans can expect from the new clip. ” ‘If I Never See Your Face Again,’ ‘Hate That I Love You,’ ‘Take a Bow’… Yeah, I mean, I’m known for the ‘Disturbia’s and the ‘Russian Roulette’s and things like that, but ‘Only Girl (In the World)’ is certainly an ethereal kind of empowering, beauty-filled video and what we’re coming with next … is certainly gonna flip peoples’ minds with ‘Man Down.’ “Mandler didn’t give too much away, but he did reveal that this clip will have her fans talking once it does premiere.
“We shot the video last week in Jamaica and it’s my favorite song she’s ever recorded, so I was really excited to get involved,” he said. “And it’s just one of those songs that demands a strong narrative and visual, and let’s just say she let me go all the way. So I think you can expect something that’s dramatic and shocking and intense and emotional and uplifting and enlightening.”The reggae-tinged tune tells the story of a young woman who guns down a man and is seeking some forgiveness for her actions. So, will Rihanna wield a firearm in the clip?
“Without saying too much, if you’re looking for a narrative you’re not going to be disappointed,” Mandler shared. “Just know that it’s going to be exciting.”Source: MTV News
